Oscar Mitchell // Sanguine

Nobody doubts this:
When a thing lies still, it will lie still for ever unless something else moves it.

But this:
When a thing is in motion, it will eternally be in motion unless something else stops it is not so easily assented to, although there is the same reason for it, namely, that nothing can change itself.

(Thomas Hobbes, Leviathan)

The last 20 years have been one of tumultuous change - commentary suggests more so than at any time since the second world war. Assuming this to be true, was its catalyst the collapse of the Twin Towers?

This was the question I pondered while completing these works.
