Brunkager

Ingredients:
200g butter
150g sirup 
75g brown sugar
125g white sugar
5g ground cloves
5g ground allspice 
5g ground cinnamon
5g baking soda
40g sliced or roughly shopped almonds
Zest from one orange 
400g white flour

Method:
Melt down butter, sirup, sugar and spices in a pot. Mix flour and baking soda together and add it to the mixture. Knead the dough (use more flour if needed) and roll it into a long sausage. Wrap it in clingfilm and put it in the fridge for 3 hours or in the freezer for one. Cut the dough sausage in thin slices and place them on a baking tray. Bake at 200 degrees for 5-7 min until they are golden brown. Let rest and enjoy.

Tip: Make a larger dough and leave extra in the freezer for a future batch.
