‘From here, on’ by Grace Mirams
A body of work that explores the wider capabilities of monotype print. Strategically downplaying traditional emphasis on replication as the essence of print, the work explores material and spatial metamorphoses of the printmaking process.
By harnessing pressure through a creative force, Grace approached this work with quick and confident mark making, producing rapid and often unpredictable effects. A selection of monochromatic prints on cotton and newsprint portray a sense of spontaneity, texture and form.
