Megan Brady - For Today

What happens when a cafe intersects with a gallery? How does this hybrid environment operate to its fullest potential? By embodying both a cafe and gallery space, ADJØ enacts a unique softness and consideration of experience which develops over time. While many properties of the cafe remain similar, the gallery alters its scope and meaning over time.

'For today' engages with this intersection of cafe and gallery, while also responding to those who spend time in and move through the space. With its title derived from a generic cafe specials board, one that is always adaptable and changing for the customers approval and delight, 'For today' presents both still and changing new works. During the exhibition ADJØ may become a performative and observational space for comers and goers. Megan Brady is a Dunedin-based artist working across multidisciplinary fields.
